The point of a farm stay is
to get away from the stresses and strains of urban life
and do some of the things you can not do in town -
including really relaxing!
At Elandsheuwel the choice
is yours. You can do as much relaxing or expend as
much energy as you like.
With grassy plains, rugged
mountains and everything in between there are walks to
suit all tastes and degrees of fitness. The
wonderful scenery and sweeping vistas will be your
reward.
Although not a dedicated
game farm, a variety of game is to be seen.
Birders may be rewarded with
a sight of the Kori Bustard, the largest of flying
birds, which is particularly found in the area.
There are tracks all over
the farm suitable for 4x4, quad bikes or mountain bikes.
These take you through all the different types of
terrain Elandsheuwel has to offer.
At night the clear Karoo
skies, free from urban light interference, present a
stellar display to enchant the viewer.
